Replacement hinges reattached the screen to my laptoip
They are what they should be. I had some issues with missing plastic where they mounted but some added reinforcement secured with superglue gave them an adequate mount so the lid (screen) operates properly again.

Now I can safely drive at night!
I have an EZ-GO golf cart that is often used at night (we live in The Villages, FL). The original two 50w halogen bulbs did a very poor job of illuminating the path ahead. I first replaced the two halogen bulbs with LED 8w bulbs, getting approximately the same illumination but with much less power draw. The path ahead was still poorly illuminated. To resolve this I bought and installed a pair of the LED driving spot beams (first photo).
To power them, I purchased a 48v to 12v voltage reducer (second photo). Mounting them was not straightforward because the brackets are not designed to mount on a vertical surface. So, instead of using four bolts per housing, I could use only two, letting the light angle forward from the bracket (see third photo). However, with these two bolts snug, I haven't had any problem with the lights drooping from vehicle vibration.
Since the lights are very powerful, they blind oncoming drivers. Therefore, I added a foot-operated dimmer switch (an old style floor-mounted high beam/low beam switch -- see fourth photo) to shut them off with approaching traffic. During this time, the original headlights (now with LED bulbs) provide the illumination.
These LED lights now allow me to safely drive my golf cart at night and, when all combined, still draw much less power than the original two 50w halogen bulbs.

The right product at the right price
I like my old garage door opener. it is rugged and simple but finding parts can be a challenge. I'm glad this outfit exists so I can get the right part at a fair price in less than the promised delivery time.
