Item fully functional
I was troubled because the "tip adapter" supplied seemed too small, not filling the socket. The connection seemed insecure. However, when fully shoved into the socket, the connection seems to work fine. I suspect that the mating surfaces are small. I wish it was a tight fit, but the power supply does light up the device even when the USB cord is disconnected, and probably will work out fine over time. I might shove some string or a similar material into the gap between the shaft of the adapter and the wall of the socket to make the connection snug.
