Excellent Lens
The auto focus, and stabilization make this an excellent lens to have. Though the one I bought was a refurbished one, one can't tell the difference. It still carries a 1 year warranty from Canon. The lens also takes over where the standard lens leaves off. The focal length is equivilant to a standard film camera of 300mm. The price was over $100.00 less than you would pay in a camera store too.

Not what I expected for $500
0 of 2 found this helpful Not as good as I expected. Yes you can see Jupiter and Saturn, but they are the size of a pin head when viewed. The alignment is easy enough, but if you want it to track what you are viewing, you have to align it to three different stars. I bought some extra eyepieces hoping I could get a better view, but not much different than the original eyepiece. The moon, however, is very clear and detailed. I also bought separately the adapter for my camera to take photos. The problem with that is you have to refocus the telescope for the camera.
