Vintage Toshiba KT-VS1 Stereo Cassette Player with FM/AM Metal Tuner Pack AS IS

Toshiba KT-VS1: valid rival to Sony WM/WM2

Despite the lack of Dolby B N. R., it's a silent player both mechanically and sound-wise. No driver wheel problem to cause non working condition expensive to rectify. But the trick is both "Direct Mechanism" for FF and RWD have to be functional, which this particular one I bought fails. Radio pack works very very very well, with good reception and FM stereo reception. In a size and form factor not much over the surface area of a cassette tape, it fits into a jeans pocket snugly. Recommended as an alternative to the WM2. It makes me wonder why Sony never made one the Toshiba way.

303 Aerospace UV Protectant is good at its job. Protects and lasts.

As said in the title. Better than Armor-All, which actually deteriorates platic surfaces over time. Recommended for the itended putrposes. I m happy.

Coral BX-601 Vintage Speakers Pair VERY RARE!

A surprise from a vintage speaker model

I have been using JBL 4320 x 4 as daily speakers or 3 years. These Coral's are just as very efficient at around 92-94 dB SPL @1w/1m. It has 6" woofer and 2" tweeters, all calico, inside vented boxes. Bass is lacking but frequency response is even and extended quite flat to 12 k. Its midrange runs superb, tho. It can sound out of this world when added a subwoofer running below 150 Hz @ 12db/octave. If you're using these speakers to play general jazz and pop music, you won't need a super tweeter to compensate for the lack of the top octave. Overall: the biggest surprise in speakers to me. Good for general music/speech playing. If added a subwoofer, it will sound competent when compared to modern makes. Sound field and imaging are so so but really, not bad at all.
