Nirvana - With The Lights Out [CD & DVD boxed set]
2 of 2 found this helpful I've always loved Nirvana, and this set is just the beginning of their creative output as a band. It reflects on the intricacies of the songwriting processes of Kurt Cobain, and the growth of the band over the years. I love the attention to detail, even on the rough, raw, early stuff from this set. Plus, I got the 3 CDs and 1 DVD set for $6.00 plus shipping, so it was a steal as far as I'm concerned. I would've paid far more for the same set, even used. I highly reccomend it.

Senses Fail - Still Searching (Deluxe Edition)
I decided to cave and pick up this release because I'm a sucker for the extra tracks. I have the first deluxe version of this one with the making of DVD, and had downloaded the extra tracks previously. However, I had hoped the DVD included with this release would sweeten the deal. Sadly, the Still Searching tour documentary fell a little short of my expectations for one simple reason, and that is that they chose to dub the studio versions of the songs over the live footage for each of the songs. I understand they may be holding out for a live DVD, or maybe the sound quality wasn't the greatest on their recordings (I do live concert footage, I know sometimes it just doesn't come out well). If they would have even given us just snippets of the songs live instead of the CD music we just paid for, I'd have to give them kudos for going the extra mile. Don't get me wrong, this release is worth it for the bonus tracks alone, although it lacks the 3 studio acoustic tracks that were exclusive to one deluxe edition previously released. The extra songs are for the most part very good, and you should pick up this release if nothing else for them alone.

Death From Above 1979 - Heads Up single
This is a great CD single from a really talented band. Sadly, they're not together anymore, but they made a lot of great music while they were. I got the single mostly because I had downloaded some of the remixes and wanted to own the CD to support the band. If I download something I like, I buy the CD. Besides, the price was right, so how could I argue?
