The Hopper3 is about half as tall as the VIP series with out the overheating problem of the VIPs,

The technology is beyond belief over the VIPs(which I thought was great), The comparisons between the two receivers is day and night, the Hopper3 and Joey combo is beyond any expectations you could imagine for picture and audio quality, the versatility of the Joeys (all of my Joeys are wireless) being able to give same HDMI HD picture quality as the Hopper3. Thumbs up in every category.
