USB 3.1 Type C Male to Micro USB Female Adapter Converter Connector USB-C

    Works, small, seems well built
This allows me to use my power pack with phones with either a micro USB port (the connector on the power pack's cable) or with a USB-C port (using this adapter).

Won't work on short belts when pulleys are close
This device works by measuring how much pressure you apply for a fixed deflection in the belt. As you apply more pressure, the arm moves up because it is pushed up by the belt as it deflects. The amount of deflection (when the click is produced) is not configurable, so my guess is this device checks for how much pressure you apply to get 8-10 mm of deflection. The problem with small cars, like 4-cylinders, is the fan belts may not have a long enough span between pulleys to use this device. Since it relies on belt deflection, if the longest run of a belt has this device's end on the belt near the pulleys then you cannot produce sufficient deflection. The belt at the pulley is not going to deflect. This device is only usable on belts that have a long enough span between pulleys for the belt to deflect along the entire length of this device. Actually the belt should deflect for a length longer than this device. Some fan belts are short because the pulleys are close. There will be no belt deflection at or near the pulley, so you keep pushing and pushing but the click doesn't happen because the required minimum deflection never occurs. Nice idea but unusable on belts that have spans between pulleys are are shorter or close to the length of this device. The belt will not deflect much or at all near the pulleys. Well, this was a cheap experiment. Guess I'll have to stick with the trick of tensioning until I cannot twist the ribbed fan belt more than 90 degrees. I can't use this device for measuring, and the other professional solutions are way too expensive.
For LG V20 Shockproof Hybrid Kickstand Holster Belt Clip Hard Phone Case Cover

Soft silicone, doesn't interfere with using charge stand, smooth holster
I've had similar ones in the past but their silicone shell and holster had way too much friction that made it difficult to extract the encased phone out of the holster. This one is smooth to slide the encased phone into and out of the holster. In fact, so much more smooth that I was concerned at first that I hadn't slid the phone into the holster properly. Had a prior armor case and the silicone was stiffer which seems it wouldn't be as absorbent to shocks. The other one was more protective on the corners but this should work well. This phone is bevelled on the front edges so will have to see over time if the silicone shell and its hardshell retainer work to keep the phone encased on a fall. Not going to drop the phone to test. Will wait until I accidentally drop the phone (which, so far, has been once per year since I'm careful). The armor case gives me more grip on the otherwise too-smooth phone to prevent fumbling it out of my hand. If the friction had been high between silicone shell (on phone) and the holster, I already had planned on an oversized magnetic flap belt holster I could slide in the armored phone. I'd carry it that way to have the phone protected without making access difficult. Nope, don't need the other belt case. The holster for this case works very well. I like this type of case where I can easily snap on the holster over a belt or pants edge. No having to undo a belt to slide on a holster case. Because it is soft silicone, take a bit of repositioning on mounting to phone to get the silicone shell positioned correctly, especially after pushing on the hardshell retainer. When properly positioned, it is elevated a bit above the front face of the phone to help protect the screen on flat falls on the screen side. With it being soft, the volume buttons are easily managed; i.e., no interference with using the side buttons with this silicone liner. The belt clip seems sturdier than for many other belt clip holster cases. Some just use a plastic "rivet" that has tangs that snap into the belt clip. Plastic breaks easily and, in fact, that prior holster case was delivered damaged because a tang on a plastic finger broke off so the belt clip could no longer hold onto the holster case. The prior armor case was also thicker for its stiffer silicone shell. That made its use impossible with a charger stand I have on my desk. I plug the phone into the charger stand so the phone gets charged and ready for when I next use it plus it lets me use the phone and easily view it while on the charger stand. This case's softer and thinner silicone shell lets me leave the phone in the case while plugged into the charger stand. It just barely works: the USB connector just manages to push far enough into the phone's USB jack to make a connection. That's the problem with armored cases: getting one that protects but is not so thick as to prevent use of the USB port on the phone (on a charger stand although a cable connection usually works no matter how thick the silicone shell). I don't like phones with permanent batteries. That means I have to lug a power bank with me for those times when I will be away from anywhere to charge the phone, like on an airplane during a flight (not all planes have charge ports for phones). With a removable battery, like for the LG V20 that I bought, I can tote along a charged battery to extend runtime of the phone. A spare battery is smaller than a power bank and requires no cables. It does require access to the backside of the phone to remove the backplate to swap batteries. The prior armor case was too armored: a front-side trim snapped onto the backside plate to encase the phone (3-piece: backplate, silicone shell, front snap-on hard trim) Good protection but makes dismantling a nuisance (need a flat screwdriver since a fingernail isn't sufficient to snap apart). This armored case is easier to dismantle and consists of only 2 pieces on the phone: silicone shell held by hard backplate. So I can more easily take it off to swap the battery and put it back on the phone. All the holes and cutouts in the silicone shell match up perfectly to the microphones, speaker, headset, and USB ports. No having to modify the case to get it to align to the ports on the phone. I was leery the silicone shell encloses the Power button on the back of the phone case. The thickness of the silicone could make harder reaching the button. In this case, the hole is bevelled. So far, the button is easy to reach with no problems with aligning my finger for the fingerprint unlock feature. This turned out to be a better case than I expected. Prior similar cases had way too much friction between the silicone shell (exposed on the sides) against the tangs on the holster making removal a biotch. This armor case has far less friction between its silicone shell and the holster so use is smooth and easy.
