Nice MB for a rebuild

Supports up to 16Gb of DDR2 memory
5 SATA ports and 1 eSATA port
2 IEEE 1394a ports
onboard audio and video
Cons:
No FDD or IDE ports
No serial or parallel ports
No VGA output (need adapter for analog DVI)
Nicely laid out. Supports a wide range of processors.

Good way to speed up laptop
4 of 4 found this helpful Bought 8Gb of this RAM to fill out my HP laptop. Previously, with 4Gb total, adding an SSD brought my reboot time from ~120 seconds down to ~45 seconds. Loading up to the 8Gb max brought that down further to ~20 seconds. The computer is much more responsive (probably because of reduced swapping) and behaves much better (no long pauses with no response). Very happy with the improvement. Total investment of ~$100 for both SSD and RAM much lower than the cost of a new laptop. Should easily get another five years out of this one.

Not exactly as it looked
From the illustrations I was expecting heather grey or slightly darker, but what was shipped was solid blue and striped blue. Product description should have warned about what colors would be sent.
