Orient Mako II crown problems

I own Waltham, Tourneau, Timex, Armitron, and multiple Seiko, Citizen, Casio, and Bulova watches. Several of them have day / date complications that require pulling the crow out to either the 1 or 2 position to set the day or date. So I am familiar with what I think should happen. This watch looks great, keep good time, an is very comfortable to wear. But the screw-down crown is so small it is very hard to un-screw and pull out and get in into the correct poison to change that Day, Date or Wind the watch. Then trying to screwing it back down is challenging too. Since this is my first Orient watch I don’t know if this is normal or if there is something wrong with my watch.

Very Nice Looking Watch

I like this watch a lot, the dial in particular. The Seiko brackets at this price point leave a litchi to be desired.
