Stop Punishing Myself
My mother had many aquariums when we were growing up and bred every kind of fish that wasn't on Noah's ark. Punishment when we were teenagers was cleaning fish tanks all weekend. If I never see another Neon Tetra, it will be too soon for me. I'm amazed I've become a fishkeeper, but it's taken 40 years to gear up for it.
This thing is pretty pricey for what it is. I've postponed buying it, but with 4 aquariums, I need to save time and effort where I can.
My back is grateful I stopped being so cheap. You're paying for convenience and saving your back. Just do it.
It hooked up easily enough and the tubing uncurled straight and was easy to handle. I suggest watching some of the YouTube videos out there before you start. This thing draws water out of your tank so fast you won't have time to get the gravel clean if you don't do it right.
The bonus is watching the cats chase the water bubbles. The tubing is so thick I'm not worried about nails puncturing it.
If we had this when I was a kid, cleaning aquariums wouldn't have been punishment at all.
