THIS UNSAFE BOOK WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE MARKET
THIS BOOK WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE MARKETPLACE, DUE TO THE DANGER IT PRESENTS TO CHILDREN. Walking in the Autumn by Beverly Randell is a small paperback book used to teach very young students to read. It is a DANGER to the intended young audience, as it provides information about selecting edible mushrooms, an activity that young children cannot perform without serious risk of death. On page 4, this book instructs, "If you go for a walk in the autumn, look for blackberries and mushrooms. They are good to eat". It continues on page 5, "Toadstools are not good to eat. Some toadstools are red with white spots. They are poisonous." How this little book for teaching reading skills was published in the first place is hard to imagine. Any copies that remain in circulation should be destroyed.
