Meets the Requirements
It was a good price and shipped quickly. I bought that particular unit, because it had the functionality I needed and because I needed to replace a similar unit made by the same company, but different model, which had lasted 18 years. It was easy to install, even fitting the same screw holes in the wall. I only need to control a zero clearance fireplace, but it seems that it would also handle cooling as well. Programmable, it has 4 separate time ranges for each weekday and another 4 for the weekend. I'm powering the unit with 2 AA batteries. But I understand that It could run on an external 24 volt AC source as well. The instructions are comprehensive, written in several languages, but not Klingon. Now that winter is finally here again in upstate NY, I was able to get it to control the fireplace this morning.

Once Burned
0 of 1 found this helpful Plugged it into one output of a HDMI splitter that had been working. Immediately both outputs of the splitter failed permanently. I'm not about to plug it into anything else! I'll find another way.

Does the Job
Really handy for intended use: Recessed HDMI area on TV too small for long devices like ROKU stick. Use of cable, with shorter head, fixes the problem, putting stick outside the tight area. No problem with operation.
