A great book for the value.
This book gives the history of this style with lots of pictures, and explains the differences clearly between the different ranks and what is required.

Thermometer reading 20 degrees off!
The package came quickly, however, the thermometer reads about 20 degrees higher than it should! I am trying to adjust it from behind, but I'm not sure if I can. If not, I will send it back.
