Good lighted keyboard for non-gamers.
1 of 1 found this helpful I was tired of not being able to see keys in the dark, and my old keyboard would drop keystrokes if I didn't press hard enough, making password entry difficult. This keyboard is 3x easier to type on, the led intensity can be adjusted without loading any drivers, and the key click sound is pretty low key and quiet. I also have a smaller key tray that it sits on and the keyboard is reasonably compact for a full keyboard with the normal number of keys. Very basic multimedia support using the FN key together with the top row of keys. If you want lots of features, this is not the keyboard for you, more minimalist in style. For double the price you have something amazing, but for the rest of us this is a great step up from the typical stock keyboard.

Versatile flashlight
Overall I like this flashlight quite a bit. The zoom feature is nice, zoomed out provides a smooth uniform beam spread that is nice for walking in the woods at night. I sometimes use this light on the lowest setting zoomed out to read by. The beam zoomed in is somewhat less ideal and its reach is fair. But the build quality is very good compared to any other zoom flashlight I have ever seen. The 900 lumen mode is bright, but only runs for five minutes, it then steps down to the 350 lumen setting. The light will get pretty warm quickly on turbo, you can override the time limit but the flashlight will start to be uncomfortably warm to hold.

Blast from the past
I love the Asus-Merlin firmware option for this router, a little bit more powerful, but very similar to the factory firmware in look and functionality. The 2.4GHz wireless is quite strong, the 5GHz is adequate but only the older 802.11 N standard is supported. I love the traffic monitoring option, but the CPU in this older model is not quite up to this together with enabling QoS. I am replacing this router with a RT-AC56 model with a better dual core CPU and this unit will reside as an additional Access Point, the firmware of this router makes these kind of uses pretty straight forward.
