Minn Kota Adapter Does Not Fit Garmin Striker Plus w/o Modification

I recommend this adapter, for a Garmin Striker Plus, with this qualification. The adapter will not fit into the data port on the Striker Plus. Rings around the adapter plug end prevent the adapter from fitting into the data port. By wrapping a piece to fine grain sand paper and making 2-3 light rotations with the sand paper, the adapter plug will then fit into the port and perform fine.
