Great 1st Generation KATO SD40-2
Great locomotive at a great price for an early generation KATO diesel. The "snoot nose' version for electronics and other equipment was specified by some railroads including ATSF, so this locomotive looks somewhat "crocodile" from the front, distinguishing it from other SD40-2s. It already had DCC installed and works just fine. The only drawback was the number board lettering supplied was for 5026 not 5027, so I had to do some creative decaling and splicing to put the proper numbers in the boards. Very unusual for KATO, which usually has flawless models. Runs great and has strong bright headlights.

Excellent caboose with great features
This 1:29 scale AristoCraft CB&Q caboose was just what I was looking for to be on the tail end of my freight consists pulled by my CB&Q locomotives, including a live steam Accucraft USRA 0-6-0, GP9, and S4. The realism is very impressive, as is the interior lighting, lighted marker lanterns on the back of the caboose, and smoking stove! Use good quality smoke oil for the best results. The car is very rare and hard to find since it is NOS from 1999. Polk's and AristoCraft are out of business and that makes this car even more valuable! I highly recommend it!
