Educated Stay at Home Moms
0 of 1 found this helpful For many women, staying at home with their children is not an option, financially speaking. However, for those of us who have husbands who make a good living, becoming a stay at home mom can be an easy or difficult decision. For those of us who have spent years educating ourselves and now have careers that we deeply love and enjoy the financial freedom we have, the decision to stay home can be very difficult.
On the one hand you have your career that you have spent many years working so hard to achieve. On the other hand, you have what can only be described as your greatest love ever. So the decision to stay home can be very difficult and cause many tears and frustration. We want to continue to be the person we've worked so hard to become, yet we want to be the ones raising our little ones, to know that we will love them and never hurt them, to be the one to see all those wonderful moments instead of hearing it from the nanny, to be the one who makes a good meal that they remember mom making even years from now, to be the wonderful mom we've always dreamed we would be.
Of course there's also the fact that you give up looking like the glamorous women that you are and quickly go from 2 hour morning prep time to 20 minute prep time (and we all know there are times when it's 2:00 p.m. and we still haven't showered). Your expensive suits and lovely Prada purses sit in the back of the closet collecting dust (and who knows if you'll ever even fit into them the way you used to). So giving up your cute self (at least temporarily while you get used to the whole stay at home thing and new baby) can also be very difficult.
"What's a Smart Women Like You Doing at Home?" gave me the opportunity to see what other women think and how staying at home can be very rewarding despite the moments of frustration. It helped me, and educated woman, to see how this decision was a good one for me and how in the long run, my new life will have its own rewards. If you are a woman like myself, struggling to make that decision, this is great book to help you decide or to help you feel better during those frustrating moments. I highly recommend this book!

Great Printer So Far
Just set it up and so far so good. I’m using mostly for print & cutting using my Silhouette Cameo and it’s perfect for that so far. Hopefully it lasts a long time
