Strong and ligthweight
I have seen many of the other brand of The Fish Grip but I have seen many of them that was not made as well. The color was consistent meaning that the plastic was a great grade. I have seen some of the other clones that the pins was not of a great diameter but very thin. The grips locked very will when you press them together and the release is smooth and easy to release. One feature that was not present on other was the wrist keeper that you can put around your wrist as not to loose them or your fish. If i had to rate them I would give them a 10 for bulid quality and function.
