This lift pump works!
3 of 3 found this helpful . The pump really works well, I've seen some negative remarks in some of the forums in that they may not be as long term a solution as a FASS or similar, but I'll tell you, some of us can't afford to throw around $ 700.00 on a whim. If you can get it for a deal, and thats less than $250, you did well. I've tried the factory carter lift pumps, the Holley and a Chinese knockoff. None can compare, and i didn't break the bank either. Btw 2001 Cummins. For some, money is no object, for me its definitely a consideration, save yourself some trouble and get at least this pump, those VP44s get expensive too.

You can't beat factory parts.
It came with the wiring pump, and strainer(the last I wasn't aware of so I bought another). It was missing a common failure prone hose connector from pump to sending unit... It turns into chewing gum and blows out. But the kit worked well!!!
You can substitute a pc of regular hose.
It functions not as a regulater per se but a "pressure smoother" and (smooths out the peaks and troughs of the pressure differential actions from the pumping pump(more consistent spray from the injectors) I've never had a problem. Good luck, and do you're own research. Your mileage may vary....lol.
