An all time great album of music
1 of 1 found this helpful I didn't know SteelyDan's music in the 1980's. I stumbled across this album and it introduced me to their music. I listened to it for years, then started acquiring other Steely Dan albums. Steely Dan is one of the best groups of the 1970's and onward, and this is a great introduction to their music. In reality, each song is a work of art.
Some consider this a jazz-rock fusion, and I think this could be valid in a way. But I think their history is more that they are an evolved and sophisticated rock group. However, what ever conceptualization you place on these men, the music is great.

Pink Martini: Sympathique
This is a fantastic album of music. It's diverse styles and one of my favorite albums. Its hard for me to identify the style, perhaps a sort of lounge act music, jazz, standards. I'd say, "Own it and you'll love it."
