I've used a couple of the dies and with ...
I've used a couple of the dies and with just one use they showed some wear on the cutting edges. I think they will work fine for thread chasing. If you are wanting to cut new threads with more than occasional use I'd invest in spilt dies.

Great product
A little difficult to work at first. The parts; buttons, legs and springs fit tightly togeather. After some use it breaks in nicely.
