Great not too heavy military flick!
Clint has always been a great actor...the movies were not always instant classics, but he is always top notch. This one is no exception. A true to stereotype leatherneck, jarhead Gunnery Sgt. Tom Highway is put in charge of the less than disciplined, and unmotivated, less than Marine acting Recon Platoon. After initial conflict, and establishing just who is in charge, he quickly turns them into the top platoon on base, and gains their respect. With a pain in the butt Major Malcolm Powers running the base who would love nothing more than to put the old man in his place, this much less than heavy Marine movie has something for everyone....Some good laughs, a tough as nails old battle horse, a secondary love story (not too involved), and some gunfire, and explosions, combat, and it all comes full circle in the end.

I'm not saying it was aliens....but, it was aliens!!
1 of 1 found this helpful This season touches on a few topics a lot of us, even avid watchers of the show...,may not have seen coming. 3 Discs...4 episodes each...tons of information. I like how in the more recent seasons, they have started talking about modern technology and how it fits in the equation of the ancient knowledge. If you are open minded about just how this world, and our species came to be, and came to be how and what we are now....you really need to watch not just this season...but, the entire series. One thing about this series, and the individual shows....they really do get the most prominent names in this field of study that really can,and do present a viable argument, and viable evidence for their claims....some of their ideas....well, i can't fully buy into....but, a lot of the things they have pretty solid evidence for are the same things not only myself, but a lot of folks i know wonder about. Enjoy the wild hair and theories that are Georgio Tsoukalous, the very matter of fact approach of David Chldress, the energetic ideas of David Wilcock, and the long time research and theories of Linda Moulton Howe, and the ultimate research and findings of Erich von Däniken....along with a host of other very informed, and long term investigative researchers. I highly recommend this entire series. They now sell every season that has aired right here on eBay. If you have ever wondered just what not only has been in the recent to ancient past...right up to what is going on now....this show offers a distinctively different set of ideas and circumstances than you will ever read in any History book, or hear from some historian....you need to get these and watch them if you have not already. It is also very interesting to see how the show developed, and matured, grew, and branched out to cover topics most would never think of over the years.
