Roku Express (6th Generation) HD Media Streamer 3900RW VUDU Edition - Black
    Oct 08, 2018
I have 2 Roku Express 6th Generation units. We love them!
I have 2 of these model. Well, actually, I've purchase 3 - One for myself, one for my Niece and one for some good friends of mine. They're fast, they're extremely cheap, and they make an Apple TV unit show just how overpriced and willing Apple is to take money from anyone (the cheapest Apple TV is approximately 5x more than the Roku Express, and the 4K Apple is almost 7x more). Apple Vs Roku - Roku let's you use Apple services via the YouTube app by selecting the "Purchases" section of YouTube to stream iTunes content. Roku also has "Movies Anywhere", which allows you to link your iTunes account and watch your Apple content on their app, as well. With Movies Anywhere you can also connect VUDU, which after link your Apple account, spreads the Apple titles into VUDU. You can do the same with apps like FandangoNow and also can link your Microsoft account (if for example you have purchased any movies on your Xbox or PC and want to link everything from every streaming service onto one App). Price gouging is a vast understatement with Apple when comparing to Roku. You can alsp control any Roku in your home via WiFi by simply downloading the free Roku app to your phone or tablet. If you want 4K, there are Roku models that are 1/2 the cost of Apple's entry HD unit. The pricier Roku allows you to plug headphones into the Roku remote for private listening. There is probably some very good YouTube reviews of "Roku vs Apple TV". The point is, don't give Apple your money when you don't need nor have to. They're charging you a lot more, simply because they're charging you a lot more... You can't go wrong with a Roku. Pick the model that is best for you, be it the Roku stick, which allows a completely hidden version with a wireless remote, or if you need high speed 4K streaming - there is a model for that, too. The more you throw your money at Apple, the more they will take. Do your research amd comparisons on streaming devices. For speed, price and app accessibility, I give the Roku a 10 out of 10. It does not stream 4K, but for just under 30 bucks...it's fantastic, and as far as I know, you would only limit your apps if you bought an Apple unit that costs 5x more. Even the Roku Stick (a different model) allows voice features. The only downside the the Roku Express is if you have a 4K TV and need to stream 4K content. I highly recommend any Roku model.

The only way this TV can show Pixelation is...
I gave it an excellent rating because of the value alone for this TV & it's quality. I had to comment to show this TV some respect...Someone posted a review saying this TV shows Pixelation...My face sits only 2 Feet away when using it as a PC monitor & there is not 1 single bit of pixelation especially if I'm running a 720P X360 Game. The only time Hi Def TV's start showing pixelation is when there is a bad incoming signal through a cable connection through your cable provider which can depend on many things from the Processor the HD or Digital Cable box is using to the actual signal that reaches your home which will never be the full 1080i unless your plugged up next to your cable companies signal. To see flawless signal you have to have a flawless connection & Signal or else with the detail shown through this TV you will catch the distortion coming from this signal. Thanks I just had to clear this up because I have 3 different SONY TV's with this being the cheapest of the 3 & it shows flawless quality with the correct signal except for the (several hundred $ more XBR series) XBR series which can produce deeper blacks.
