Speedometer pickup is for 4 speed not 5 speed transmission.
I assume you have the V6, if so your speed pickup is through the EATX computer (transaxle computer). The A604/41TE does not have a speedometer pinion location on the right (passenger side) extension housing. If the transmission is shifting correctly then the input and output sensors are good. There is a small blue 6 pin test plug inside the car on the driver's side probably near the fuse box. This is where the transaxle diagnostics are done. On the parts catalog, you need to only look at the overdrive transaxle, the other is for the 4 cyl engines.

Great Cover But One SIze Does Not Fit All Listed
The full size wagons this cover is made for come in two forms and this cover only fits one of them well. Of the station wagons, some have a curved slope back while others a more vertical back and of course some have luggage racks or not. This cover fits the front of all cars with good elastic that goes back to the wheel wells. However, in the rear only the slope back fits, the vertical back is stretched why too tight and the result is very floppy areas that inflate when windy. If you don't have a luggage rack there is extra material that hangs down in side droops that catch and hold rain. So slope back with luggage rack, perfect. Slope back without luggage rack, OK, Vertical back with and without luggage rack, not recommended though may be the only game in town.

Pandora's Legions Review
While most of Christopher Anvil's stories are dated or rely on impossible almost magical devices to advance the story line, Pandora's Legions stands alone as his best novel that still holds up today. If you only buy one Christopher Anvil book, this is the one to buy.
