A great combination.
A classic of wit and whimsy doubled by Gorey's drawings. What more could one want?

Slice of life.
Captures the lives and problems of the recent Portland, Oregon scene well. There is one episode with a great deal of TOTALLY UNNECESSARY profanity. Otherwise, both the acting and screenwriting are very good. A "thinking" film; almost no "action", but this was fully intentional. Music people will like Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney, Wild Flag) and James Mercer (The Shins) - both excellent actors. And a quick cameo by Corin Tucker (S-K).

With Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss in the group the music has to be good. It is.
