Without it You Don't have a Filter
Pentair products are made to last and durable but this is not an easy part to replace as anyone with a sand filter knows but this isn't the fault of the part. Pentair filter design makes certain maintenance or repairs challenging for even the most experienced pro's. Our Pentair sand filter is 600 lbs capacity and it was time to change the sand and there's no way to remove this part without replacing it with a new one. Our Pentair filter is a workhorse and gets the job done. We're grateful to be able to find replacement parts but it's not an easy filter to work on. The piece is well made. The mechanics necessary to remove and replace are another story.
