Bad phone charging and battery issues and unable to hear callers unless it’s on speaker phone

I noticed the first time after I unpacked it. I am unable to hear a caller. It is very very low I have tried adjusting the volume button but it doesn’t help, I have to put caller on speakerphone it’s very frustrating, also the battery is not fully charging, it heats up then the phone tells me it’s unable to charge further until it cools down. The percentage on the battery life is not good.
