Be Careful
Even after following set up instructions, plus running full tanks through quite a few times, there was a bitter taste to the water. I had persistent GI trouble for a few days and finally figured out that it might be the water and something must have leeched from the white fluoride/arsenic filter, even though the water ran perfectly clear. I must have twisted it on one too many times, but it was really hard to determine the instructed number of turns because there is no mark on the filter to indicate where to start and stop to count a turn. I tried to do it by sight but it was small and dizzying. I should’ve marked it with a pen but instructions said to remove plastic and wash it. Berkeley would do well to put a mark to make it easier. I took the white filters off to remedy the problem. But I lost the ability to filter out fluoride and arsenic. There is no taste without them.
