Nokia 6790 Surge (AT&T)
2 of 3 found this helpful It is very easy to use for a smart-phone. I like the compact size and large QWERTY keyboard, the sound is good, I am pleased with the 2mp camera it takes good photos to bad it didn't have a flash. In general it is a very good phone. You can program the buttons on the front to your liking so everything you need is at the touch of your fingers. The only thing that I didn't take into account is that it isn't touch screen and you have to slide it open to dial a number unless it is in your call history (which is already programmed on the call button). It and some pretty cool features like talk to text, you can tell it to read your text messages to you. I haven't had any freezing. I bought it mainly to text, the full QWERTY is awesome sometimes slower than my fingers but there is predictive text, and it has a copy and paste feature which is nice.
Now the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have any games that you can play without going online.

User Friendly

I bought it as an alternative to a Digital SLR (I'm so glad I did), being a novice I figured I should buy a camera that would start me out on the right track. This camera is it, with several different settings I can experiment with it, and with a twist of the dial I can go from simple setting where it's fully automatic all you have to do is focus and shoot to completely manual.The pictures are incredible, the crispness and depth of color, the zoom is awesome, the user manual is easy to understand, the size and weight are compact so it's not heavy and bulky. I would recommend this to anyone who is just starting out or to someone who knows what their doing but doesn't want to spend a lot of money.
