AN OLD FAVORITE
2 of 2 found this helpful One of my favorite older movies, with five of the best actors playing the leading roles. I fell in love with Howard Duff's voice when I was 8 years old,listening to the Sam Spade radio show on my little Emerson tube radio. As an adult, loved him just as much as an actor. Of course, James Garner and Kim Novak do a great job, and both easy to look at. Light-hearted and fun, happy ending. Can't beat it for old-fashioned entertainment, made back when sex comedy was done with tasteful innuendo, and no four-letter words slapping one in the face..

Looks nice but pills constantly - quality matches the price
Loved this rug -- at first -- and ordered a second one to put them together. One issue is that it pills and you will continually fill your vacuum cleaner with this lint. It never stops shedding. Second, I have to blame my cat but when he tried out the rug as a nail sharpener, small loops instantly appeared. The weave is very loose, so it was easily damaged. I trimmed the loops, and moved a cat scratcher nearby so he is not using the rug now, but just know that this will be a rather thin and pilling rug. I vacuum almost daily and so far it looks okay. The carved tone-on-tone design is so elegant and appealing - just wish it were a thicker and tighter weave.

Not a how-to book, more of a sales pamphlet
If you want a how-to book, this is not it. This tiny sales pamphlet, (8"x8"), published in association with the Gutermann thread products company, highlights Ms. Hubbard's beautiful work. There is a 2-page introduction, 14 photos of her thread paintings and very general advice with lists of the materials she used. This appears to be something the thread company would hand out to entice sales.
