Hardcore History: Combat Garage (DVD, 2009) NEW
    Sep 09, 2016
    Combat Garage
Too bad this series was cancelled after this lone episode. The video follows two Military shops: one installing the main gun in an Israeli Sherman tank variant, the M50 Super Sherman. The other deals with engine problems on a Sherman M4A3E8 or "Easy Eight" as they were called in WWII. The video offers insights to what goes into restoring historic military vehicles. Bob Stith, a WWII vet who served as a Sherman crew member provides insights into the Sherman as used by the tank crews. For those with a fondness for WWII tanks, this video is well worth the money; it is the unofficial predecessor of the "Tank Overhaul" series that also deals with WWII tanks, again including the Sherman in one of the 6 episodes.
Mile Marker 19-00100 Off-Road Recovery Kit

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Nice kit with heavyweight shackles, snatch block, and tow strap! The gloves are also made with quality in mind. The bag doubles as a tension reliever when used over the winch line in a pull. My winch kit project is now complete, with the peace of mind that the recovery kit provides when I'm in off-road situations!
Hopkins MFG 56200 Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit

Top-notch product, well worth the price!
Simple installation! My 4 door Rubicon is a 2014 with 2 sets of plug wires under the left taillight housing. I plugged this harness into the lower pair of taillight sockets-luckily they were the correct pair for my particular vehicle. Use a small flat-tip screwdriver to gently unplug the OEM harness sockets. If I could re-do it I'd have tested the functionality before buttoning up the taillight housings. However, the taillights are easily removed by removing the inner screws only then lift slightly and slide the housing inward -careful not to break the outer retaining tabs. Route the wiring underneath and over to the right taillight. There is a triangular hull plug underneath that allows access to the light. Mine was covered with foam insulation but I removed it by hand. I notched the plug to accommodate the harness then removed the light and plugged in the harness to the sockets. I also sealed the hull plug with a dab of silicone sealer. The last step is routing the harness wires forward. There is ample length so take your time and work your way forward, careful to avoid hot spots like the exhaust and muffler. At the end, the "flat-four" plug has a weather cap included which is a nice feature. Rather than using the supplied Vaseline I recommend dielectric grease to keep the plug functional and serviceable. This eliminates the need for using magnetic lights when towing your rig-just plug and go (after ensuring your tow lights are functional)! Great item and I am very pleased!
