An underrated Dalek Story
While there are some plot holes and a bit of plodding that cause this Dalek story to lose steam, it is the sheer manic and often humourous performance of Tom Baker and his on screen chemistry with Lalla Ward combined with atmospheric lightning and camera work, that holds the story together.

Underrated Classic!
The chemistry between Michael J Fox and James Woods is what makes this movie work. You have James Woods as Lieutenant John Moss with the NYPD, a man whose trying to keep a relationship going while burning himself out to bring down a killer known only as The Party Crasher. To make matters worse he gets stuck with a spoiled/over entitled Hollywood celebrity named Nick Lang played by Michael J Fox. It's the classic straight man/comic foil combo and works beautifully here set against the gritty backdrop of New York City.
