Keep them clean !!
I've been using these for years. They have a soft filament, so sharp edges between teeth can shred them.
Designed more for comfort than durability.

Big Boy Tall, and Tough Weed Killer
This line handles tall weeds and thick stemmed grass much better than smaller gauge line. However, the .120 size of it can be a little rough and disruptive to the sod along the drive or sidewalk. It works fine though if you are careful about not plowing too deep along the trim path. It holds up well under a load unless you abrade a sharp edge of brick or metal. If you are wanting to take down weeds, this line is a thrasher without a sweat!!

These are nice leather gloves, but they run smaller than actual size. I wear large (9 1/2) and they go on okay, but it's difficult to make a fist. They'll loosen up in time, but require a break in period. Overall, the leather is soft and has a nice feel to it. The lining is suitable to keep your hands warm in moderately cold weather.
