Mepilex - the best!
I am the sole caregiver for my husband who has been paralyzed at the T-4,5 level for 24 years.
Pressure sores have definitely been an issue. Almost every doctor will agree that Mepilex is the
best money can buy, but they are very expensive. And, Medicare will NOT pay anything that has to do with pressure sores. So, I buy them on e-bay. As long as they are new, and have a good
expiration date, then it's just a matter of trolling ebay to get the best price. It may take some time
to find what I need at a price I can afford, but it is the only way we would be able to use Mepilex.
All I can say is ... it's worth it ... to get the very best.
