'Raiders of the lost Ark' on Blu Ray is a vast improvement!
1 of 1 found this helpful Having watched this movie many many times since seeing it in the theaters in the summer of 1981, I can tell you that the Blu Ray version is exceedingly higher/ better quality than the previous DVD releases. The Blu Ray gets it closer to how it looked on the big screen back then - the colors, details - especially in the back ground as well, are more alluring and noticeable. Plus, the tremendous score of John Williams along with all of the sound effects are far better than the DVD version. The Blu Ray brings instantly noticeable improvement of this classic film right from the onset..

Eiger Sanction has the best & dangerous mountain climbing scenes ever filmed - a cinematic acheivement.
The Eiger Sanction is one of the most under-rated movies ever - between Monument Valley and Mt. Eiger, it has THE greatest and dangerous film coverage of a mountain climb ever. Very compelling and engrossing. Plus a great cast with Jack Cassady , George Kennedy and the elegant Vonetta Mcgee.

Oklahoma! on Blu-Ray is an absolute must to own - for visual and music quality alone
A true cinematic classic! The music, the cast, the world of Oklahoma you fall into........5 STARS!!!!! And especially the Todd-Ao version on Blu-Ray is jaw dropping in its' noticeable improvement - the painstaking efforts to bring you as close to the original screen experience has truly paid off! The detail in the background, and foreground - the colors, and the sound quality capturing the sweeping and majestic musical score are beyond captivating - you feel like watching it again as soon as the end credits roll! A musical that stays with you long after viewing. VERY highly recommend the Blu-Ray for both versions
