Slow and Clunky with average features.
The Nuvi 760 proved to be an average product overall. I bought it as a spare GPS for work, and whilst there are some nice features which are specific to Garmin, my old GPS of another brand is still better.
The Good:
* You do not need to know the exact suburb; just the street name and you will get the opportunity to choose from street/road/court/etc.............etc and the suburb.
* The phone book is not downloaded as such to the GPS, but is accessible via bluetooth from the phone itself. This negates the need to update the phonebook in the GPS as it always has the latest version.
* Great battery compared to my other GPS.
The bad:
* The display is slow and clunky. The car icon lags behind your actual position. Once a turn has been made, the car icon is still on the other street for quite a while, which is terrible when there are a streets close to one another. You're not sure if you're turning on the correct street or the GPS is not ready for the next turn instruction. I guess navigation is the main feature of a GPS, and am disappointed with the performance.
* Warning messages can be very irritating; you can either turn them off or endure nag screens that pop up 1/2 a second later when you manually close them when there is no route planned.
* The speed you are traveling at is not displayed on the same screen as the navigation screen.
Unless Garmin has fixed these issues, I WOULD NOT BUY ANOTHER GARMIN.

Most Inconvenient Contraption
I had to unfortunately return the first one as the locking mechanism would open even in the locked position. I got a replacement for it but found it so very inconvenient to put on to the brake pedal (that was the only pedal I could possibly fit it on). It cannot be fitted whilst seated, you need to get out of the car and squat on the road with the car door open to put it on. Terrible design.

High Price Low Performance
This has to be one of the most unsatisfactory remotes I've come across. If you get one make sure you do not put your other remotes away as you will need them to do anything other that putting the device on and off and changing the volume. Simple commands like 'Eject' did not get programmed and I spent ages getting a soft button programmed to do the job.
There is a clear lack of buttons that one does not realise till you actually start using it. The size makes it a two hand operation only. Used for a week and went back to my old remote.
The price tag is very high and the performance is very low.
