The Real McCoy
The filter is just as shown in the photo. It is a genuine Pro manufactured in Japan. I couldn't be happier.

Not a POWERED hub
The hub is described as a power hub, not a powered hub. It does not come with a power supply even though it has a jack for one. There are no instructions, so no description of the power supply needed. In the end I used a male-male USB cable and a standard USB power supply in one of the hub ports.
If you want a USB hub, this is as good as any. If you need a powered hub, keep looking.

NodeMCU ESP8266
I didn't know what I was getting when I bought my first ESP8266. This thing is amazing. It's a lot smaller than an Arduino Uno, faster than an Arduino Mega, and has more memory. On top of that it has fast WIFI. I have since purchased 2 adfitional ESP8266s, and think I'll get more. They're just so inexpensive that I keep finding new uses for them.
