New DEWALT DCA1820 Battery Adapter for 18V Tools, to Convert Dewalt 20V Battery

Great option for those that can't afford to upgrade to new 20v tools all at once.

Cheaper than replacement 18v batteries or buying new tools. Unless you count buying the 20v batteries, but the 20v batteries have a nice button that displays the charge level on them. I replaced my reciprocating saw with a 20v model, picked up a couple extra 20v batteries for future upgrades. These adaptors allow me to keep using the 18v tools while upgrading to 20v tools as needed when cost effective to do so. Worked on my drill/driver, hammer drill, circular saw and impact driver. Does not work on my 18v pin nailer. I bought an adapter for each tool for convenience of use. Great option to upgrade tools at my on pace instead of just replacing bad 18v batteries at $100 apiece while continuing to use the same battery style for old and new tools.
