great value
I am a chairmaker, I am a self taught maker of turned chair parts for more years than I care to remember. I am by no means an expert but I have turned a lots of chair legs and so forth. I am very thankful that one day several years ago I ran up on a Hurricane chisel. I can say with no reservation that by far for the money and the time these are the best!
I will never buy another kind and I have tried many over the years. You buy one of these and you will be hooked I am sure. They do good smooth work and hold an edge for a lot longer. The sharpen very well and will also hold that edge. Do your self a favor and buy a Hurricane Lathe Chisel.

A Great item at a Great Price
This is an excellent product for my purpose. I am in the Antique Furniture Restoration Business. I have legs on chairs and tables that require mortising so I made a box jig to set up on my lathe and use my router to cut flutes or mortises . It works perfectly !! It is made of quality materials and easy tp put on the lathe and then take it off. I highly recommend it.

Better Blades
I have been making chairs since 1971. I own a craftsman band saw. I have always gone to Sears to get blades. Then one day I decided to try this one. Best decision I ever made. It is a smoother cut , last longer , and cuts faster. Give these a try, I am sure you will like them also.
