Didnt hear the lightning crashing on this lp, firecrackers at best
Vocals are clear, it plays quite and teased me in anticipation for the instruments to match, but the depth was shallow, drums ticked instead of boomed, guitar sounds like playing in another room and odd low high volume fluctuations as if the they wanted to emphasize when the song was suppose to deliver a loud punch. Its not horrible, its right on par with the cd i already own. If your an audiophile and have equipment to push, you will want to pass on this one.

Audiophile and music lovers honest opinion
Played on carefully and well put together system. My number one question on every record i buy, does this quality production make every penny worth my investment on my player...the answer here is mixed bag. Some songs leave you wondering if this is any better then a good digital sample, while others bring full range and fine details. Its one of those mixed bags but in the end you will appreciate the ones that deliver. Now for the musical appreciation...why aren't their more artists like this. Something totally different then mainstream, if played while with company, conversations will pause and people will ask you who is this? Its refreshing and daring and feels like the kind of album that makes good on a promise. Its wonderful front to back so you wont need to skip around. An absolutely beautiful and underrated voice with deliveries so emotional, with careful consideration to not be overly exaggerated, her trust for her audiences ears is complete vulnerability. You will be left in deep thought and possible holding back some emotions of your own.
All in all its an absolute must have in any format... and definitely rewarding at times in vinyl. Cant comment on the record gatefolds as i never fully open any of mine. Hope this review helped.

Promise you will like if you're a Cranberry fan at all
When i buy records the most important factor is the audiophile quality. Whats great about this record is great new versions of Cranberries you already like, and delivered with a sound quality that rivals any record i own, and i own alot and some highly collectables. The audio quality makes every penny you put into your system well worth the sacrifice.
