Midway DVDs

This remake is better than the original movie

Covers the Pearl Harbor attack, the Dolittle bombing raid over Tokyo and the battle of Midway. Very well done. I am not a big fan of battle movies but this one will entertain you for more than just one showing. It is one of my favorite movies.

The Juno X is more than the sum of its sliders

The interface takes some getting used to. The 24 selection buttons work in four different modes. But there are some good You Tube videos along with the online manuals from Roland to help you sort it all out. Also the editor/librarian makes it easy to put together four parts plus drums in a combination called a scene. There are optional engines which can be downloaded from Roland. Currently available are the Jupiter 8, the JX-8P, SH-101 and JD800 which expand the sound palette greatly. I really like the Jupiter 8 engine. The Juno X sounds great and the key action is excellent. Yes I have heard that the aftertouch is a little stiff but that may not bother you. I replaced the 19 all the same faders with color coded 4 mm slot colored mixer slider caps to help me quickly grab the one that I want to move. I was disappointed that I did not get one of the earlier ones which had displays with white text on a light blue background. Any Juno X that you can find now have displays with white text on a black background. But that is a minor niggle and a matter of personal preference. Of greater concern is the too small display. The small display shows text that is not easy for me to read.

Avery 5" slant ring binder good quality and value

The rings open easily using the open tab. I got this slant 3 ring 5" binder because I have a lot of papers in plastic protectors to organize which will have to be moved around often and wanted a binder that holds at least a hundred sheets, lies flat for ease of adding sheets and is easy to open. Also I wanted a red one but that is not important. It meets my other requirements and I am very happy with it. Also it is an Avery product so I antiipate that it will last longer than a no brand ring binder.
