The Dish is a radio reciever dish in southern Australia that still exists.
1 of 1 found this helpful Based on a true story, lighthearted look at an historic global event, seen through the eyes of a small town in Australia that played a key role with several dramatic hand-wringing moments. The Parkes radio dish was key in transmitting the images of the first moon landing in 1969, but not without encountering several glitches both technological and human. The characters are very real and bring the event to life. I have watched it numerous times and enjoy it afresh again and again and see just one more reason to keep it on my shelf for enjoying again in the future.
