Ingenious jar opener, great for arthritics or forearm issues
Got arthritic hands or past injuries to forearm? Then this simple but ingenious gadget is ideal. Especially good for opening canning jars full of jam or similar whose lids have gotten stuck on with sugar. No more wrapping everything in tea-towels to augment grip, or soaking the lid in hot water to expand. I have two kitchens and have bought one for each. My brother-in-law in California turned me on to this; sturdily built, I expect it to last a long time, like his has.

Apple MacBook Pro Retina 15.4, mint condition refurbished 2015-vintage
1 of 1 found this helpful No way was I going to pay two grand for the new MB Pros released late October; I was after a 2014-15 model with two USB ports, a card slot, two Thunderbolts and a headphone jack (I'm a part-time music reviewer). This fit the bill nicely; is very light since it hasn't an optical drive. It also has 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD – spinning discs may spin in their graves. The Retina screen is notably superior to an ordinary one. Item arrived exactly as described, with nary a scratch on it, no duff keys. A bit disconcertingly, it arrived with the administrator password field blank; the seller had left it that way deliberately, and I was able to install necessary extra software and printer drivers by just clicking 'OK' past the security challenge. Get one like this if you can, there won't be many left lying about for more than a month or so!!!

Traditional, all-acoustic fado
Ana Moura has since added rock drums, bass guitar and keyboards to her backing band; this 2009 recording was her last, I think, 'purist' album – just her voice, Portuguese guitar and acoustic guitar. I bought it on the strength of hearing the title track sung at a recent concert of hers, and wasn't disappointed. But I'm glad I got it sealed new on eBay rather than paying full retail on a certain site beginning with A.
