Traffic Receiver cable at a great price.
Good price, works great. At first, I was wary, afraid that this couldn't have 'traffic receiver' capability at such a low price compared to others. But as soon as I connected it, I checked the GPS settings, and it confirmed this was the right cord.

Good reception and sound quality, but weak ringer volume.
Thanks to the 6.0 technology, these cordless phones worked better with my Xfinity broadband wireless system. Very little static compared to my previous 5.8 GH2 Vtech phones, but I found the handsets to be a bit flimsy in comparison. Not crazy about the feel of it, or the key action when entering a number, redialing, checking Caller ID, etc.
My main complaint about this CS5111 model is the ringer volume. It is VERY LOW compared to ANY cordless phones I've ever owned. Good luck hearing an incoming call if you're in another part of the house. I called Vtech, but it seems this is just the way the phone was designed.
If I were doing it all over again, I would either purchase a different Vtech model, or switch to Panasonic.

LG's vx8100 - One great phone!
5 of 5 found this helpful I bought my first LG vx8100 when it was introduced (2005?), after reading a review rating it the best new phone of the year. All I added was an extended-life battery and a Bluetooth headset.
I LOVE this phone! It has a solid, hefty feel to it, and is quite remarkable for its nice clamshell design and distinctive, iridescent blue finish. Most importantly, the voice quality is EXCELLENT!
But I really appreciate all the extras, like good-quality camera function, Bluetooth capability, dual speakers and a nice speakerphone. I think the phone was designed to play music, so the dual speakers are important. They were certainly a big plus when I used Verizon's VCast feature to watch TV, surf the Web, etc.
The phone also has voice command for hands-free dialing, and a slot for a mini-SD card, which provides additional storage of music, photos, etc.
How much do I like this phone? I had my original vx8100 for about 5 years, passing up several opportunities for a free upgrade from Verizon. The phone took a beating, but always endured. It finally met its demise when a friend accidentally ran over it with her BMW!
I still had a free phone coming from Verizon, and a friend offered me a like-new Blackberry, but instead I went on eBay and found a brand-new replacement LG vx8100 for about $45. I also recently added the Music Essentials kit, with a synch cord and software for downloading music.
As for any 'cons' or faults, I frankly cannot think of any.
If you are looking for a smart phone, this puppy is not for you. But if you want a great PHONE, with a rich array of added features, you cannot beat the LG vx8100. As I said, I do love this phone!
