Excellent for stage backgrounds and events
I have 12 of these, and use them for background lighting for concerts and music events. I bought this very specific model because it was the only one that allows me to do gentle colour changes and synchronise then together without having to have lots of cables on the floor. While you do need lots of lights to get any decent power, the upside is you’ll be able to distribute them around the walls (see my photos). As well as the concerts, they are great for just mood lighting around the home on special occasions. My only one gripe is that the app doesn’t allow you to fade gently between the stored colours, except manually – and it’s quite difficult to do if you are only changing the lights every few minutes, because as soon as you touch the screen the lights can flicker or change colour slightly. I will take this up with the app designer, though, because otherwise it’s a fantastically useful thing to be able to do for my needs. The light instructions imply that several people can control the lights at once, but I’ve never found out how to do that, because they have to be paired with one device. Which is probably just as well – as you don’t want somebody else taking over your lighting!

Definitely a better solution than lots of routers / repeaters
2 of 2 found this helpful I bought this having already bought one three disc set. Because I have a property that is a bit spread out, it was very difficult even with three discs to get it to work properly throughout. However, each of the other desks really needs to see the disc that is connected to your router. While they can daisychain so one this can work from another, in practice the network doesn't always set itself up like that. So I have one frustrating part of the house with a disc which always operates with a poor signal
