As expected
Very much like the standard 8” one I replaced with it, only taller. No better or worse quality. Fits my needs. Quick service, good packaging. Seems to be about the going price for this sort of thing. No complaints.

The blade shape doesn’t strike me as optimal and gripping it in use isn’t that comfortable. It works, seems sturdy, but needs some improvement.

It’s really big for a simple watch
I’m fascinated by the high-frequency quartz oscillator in the Precisionist watches. Does it lead to better timekeeping? Not sure: it doesn’t seem to have especially good thermocompensation, and Bulova’s early claims of around ten seconds a year accuracy haven’t proven true for these watches in general and Bulova seems to have dropped them: I don’t know yet about this particular specimen. This is a BIG and heavy watch for what you’re getting (hours, minutes, seconds attached at the center of the dial, smallish day of the month at 3:00). Looks fine, the nearly smooth advance of the seconds hand might fool you into thinking it isn’t a quartz watch, but this is about the maximum size of watch that fits comfortably on my 7-inch wrist. A contemporary ladies’ Precisionist I’ve seen fits all that into about a 30mm case. Bulova does seem to go for big watches for men, whether that’s justified by the multiple dials of a chronograph or not.
I doubt that this one has been produced for a while: mine was sold as refurbished but there could be new old stock available for all I know. Nice enough but not striking, big and heavy, more a curiosity.
