...just fine; but, I'm a Piano Tuner, so...
The impedance of the in-series-reversed-position-Precision Bass pickups was over 6-K ohms. The Jazz-Bridge pickup was right at 4.46-K ohms. Combined with the fact that the Precision pickups were far-deeper into the bass-harmonics, I found the pickups to be mismatched - both electronically and tone-control-wise. But, I love the bass nonetheless; and, I'm in the process of routing the body to re-position the Precision Bass pickups (just over) 1.5" closer to the bridge (eliminating the Jazz pickup for the moment). Hopefully, this will eliminate the way-too-much-bass problem. The bridge is slightly-mis-positioned towards the nut; thus, though fully compensated, the regulation leaves the guitar fretting-out sharp. I'll either trim the adjustment screws or move the bridge. All is well.

Highly specialized potentiometer.
It seems to not be available in any other form; for example, don't need to pay for a brass drive pulley every time I need a new pot. But, at least the replacement pots are available (though a bit pricey).

Almost a complete waste of money.
Purchased with the idea of instructing a prospective piano student, this book falls short in every way. Being a piano tuner/techician, I mistakenly thought I could simply purchase the pertinent information and then pass it on. I was sadly mistaken. The book is "compelling;" because, now I realize that I'm going to have to write the book myself. I seriously doubt that anyone could ever learn to tune the piano based on the content of this book.
