Great value for a used 2 Channel
I needed a scope to diagnose and do some major adjustment on a faulty ADC to DAC control unit for a solid state Ward Leonard drive on a gearless DC elevator hoist motor.
I was able to see the duty cycle and the breakover voltages on all the solid state components with ease.
The best part about a portable scope is that it floats at its own potential so you don't run the risk of excessive current flowing through the building ground and frying your multi thousand dollar piece of equipment.
This got the job done amd makes a great valuable tool in my arsenal!
For the price this is a good used unit.
The original replacement scope leads for this unit have been discontinued in lieu of some 200mhz probes at over $230 a piece.
I bought some Techtronix 10x probes for about $70 a fluke charger for just over a hundred, an extra NIMH battery and a pelican case for under 200
After acquiring all the accessories to put together a good used scope kit. my total investment is just under a grand.
My only regret is not having a 4 channel scope.
