Great Upgrade For Uniden DECT-1560 Series Phones
While these are awesome batteries, it is important to remember that ALL NiMH batteries suffer from memory effect (not as bad as NiCd batteries), but it still exists. I learned that from using NiMH batteries with RC models - now use Lithium Polymer batteries instead.
In order to gain maximum performance from NiMH batteries it is best to cycle them 2~3 times when new. That "teaches" them what it feels like to be completely charged & completely discharged; that prevents "memory effect" from setting in & optimizes there performance & life expectancy greatly. After that, it's best to completely discharge/charge them periodically.
Another mistake most people make is to leave the phone on the charging base all the time; doing that quite literally "cooks" the batteries. Once the battery has been fully charged, take the phone off the charger & LEAVE IT OFF!!
My phone went for NINE FULL DAYS & NIGHTS OFF THE CHARGER (died between day 9-1/2 & 10); that included many calls that were 30~60-minutes long + standby.
Why does the phone need to be on the charger all the time when it will run for a week & half off of it?
Remember, the original battery is 300mAh NiCd, these batteries are literally FIVE TIMES that much + the better NiMH chemistry to boot.
Get a set, take care of them & enjoy being able to leave the phone off the charger for more than 20~30-minutes๐๐๐

Runs my home made cable modem battery ba...
Runs my home made cable modem battery backup {needed for VOIP phone service during power outage} for OVER 13hrs straight - [battery adapter- SZBK07 buck converter- 12VDC @ 2A+ output, cable with 5.5x2.1mm connector plugs into Charter/Spectrum modem] - 6Ah Hi Perf battery only goes tad over 10hrs. -- This baby should provide saws & other power hungry tools plenty of runtime - WHAT A DEAL๐๐๐

Ok Scale, Has a Few Hiccups
Received my scale, installed 2x brand new Energizer batteries and started to use it.
First thing I noticed is it slides / rocks around on my desk, solution: I put self adhesive pads on each corner (on bottom of scale) - those things they put on cupboard doors to keep them from "slapping" if closed too hard.
Second thing is: the Tare ("T") function of the unit I received does not operate the way the instructions say it should - see attached instructions - I scanned them & saved as JPEG.
On my unit pressing the "T" button displays A_OFF or A_On
My testing revealed that A_OFF / A_On is for the "auto power off" feature of the scale.
Selecting A_OFF prevents the scale from turning off automatically.
Selecting A_On allows the scale to turn off automatically if not used for about 3-minutes.
Some people may find that ability to be desirable / some may not.
Because of this hiccup, I am not "recommending" NOR am I "not recommending" this scale.
It is up to you the viewer to decide what is more important to you.. Tare function or the ability to control the auto power off feature.
Hope people find this info useful๐
