A working lens that must be forced on to the firmware.
The lens works well and its design fits the camera body well. One problem: The firmware does not recognize the lens as an attachment that is part of the camera. As is, the software has been downloaded directly from Canon product support and can be said to be up to date. Given that variable, what is there to do in order to capture sharp views, get the camera to recognize the lens, and simply work without having to force acceptance of the hardware?
